This complex and wrathful copper repoussé face of Bhairava is from the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. With eyes bulging, eyebrows flaming and fangs bared, this angry manifestation of Shiva also sports a third eye, a crown of skulls, a naga round its neck and a halo of hair in flames. It measures 9” high by 7” wide and is mounted on a custom wood base. 17th century.  #2054  $4100
