A Revelation of Cache-Sex

To receive by snail mail a free 2008 calendar, please send your name and mailing address to zena@zkta.com.  If you received one of the 2007 calendars, you are on my mailing list; the 2008 calendars will be mailed starting in mid February and continuing through mid-March (it's a lot of work!) Thank you for your patience... they measure 4-1/2" square.

While exploring the enormous variety of cache-sex adornment from Africa and Papua New Guinea, a select few were photographed here with various masks, iron currency, and one irresistable funereal hand. Cache-sex (literally “hide the sex”) were worn by women of all ages to protect and entice, the appearance of each determined by the marital status of the woman as well as the materials used: leather, iron, string, glass beads, shells and seeds.

Below are the calendar images, with the objects photographed in full to the right. Click on the object to see description, other views, price and availability. (When the item is sold or not yet available, there will be no hyperlink on the photo.)
