An especially nice example of a beaded skirt from the Maloh Dayak of
Borneo. The band of figurative beading is composed of glass beads
smaller than any I’ve seen. The skirt measures 19” high by 17” wide and
is in impeccable condition. It is lined with a cotton Madras plaid and
has red and mustard wool bands along the edges. Please see multiple
views below. Early 20th century.
