This expressive ancestral face is the plaited cane upper portion of a Yangaru/Boiken talipoon bride price, which is normally attached to a green turban shell. His bulging eyes, pierced septum and open mouth create quite an impression. It measures 14” high and is mounted on a custom base. Early to mid 20^th century. #2273 SOLD
